ACS Information, Referral & Outreach Readiness Branch (IR&O) provides Fort Hood commanders, Soldiers and families with information regarding military and civilian community resources.

ACS IR&O also links Soldiers and families with available information on an array of on-post or off-post agencies and services. IR&O maintains 2 databases with over 2,000 military and civilian agency resources at our fingertips, so we can get you connected to a service that can help you. IR&O is the central point of distribution for information, flyers, brochures, ACS calendar & Fort Hood upcoming events and activities.

Services:

287-4ACS Help Line

The 287-4ACS Help Line is available during regular business hours. If you do not know who to call or what to do, call 287-4ACS to find out. The Information, Referral, & Outreach Readiness Branch has over 2,000 military and civilian human services resources available to help you find what you are looking for. Our knowledgeable staff can help point you in the right direction. If you know who to call but do not know the number you can call the post operator at 287-1110.

Community Services Council (CSC)

The Community Services Council is a monthly community-wide forum that brings about awareness of Fort Hood and area community events & activities. CSC meets the 4th Wednesday of each month at 0930 in Building #50012, Community Events Building (BINGO Hall) on Clear Creek Road.

Centralized Intake

The I&R Staff conducts initial interviews (includes information & referral and crisis intervention) to assess individual & family needs, provide information & make referrals to ACS, Fort Hood & community programs & services.

Army Community Service Quarterly Interagency Meetings

These meetings are designed to bring Fort Hood agencies and off post community agencies together. These partnerships will develop relationships and expand collective resources to enhance service to all consumers. Agency representatives will have the opportunity to share information about the help or treatment of clients that they provide and collectively, we will bridge any gaps in service.

Exciting topics will be discussed throughout the year. Some of these topics are: Suicide Prevention, Money Matters, Community Life Programs, Children & Teen of Soldiers, Road Rage, Anger, Fear, Divorce and much more.

The meetings will be held at various locations on and off post on the 3rd Tuesday or Wednesday of the month.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Documentation

Immigration Agency Launches Military Help Line
Service members and their families can now call U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for help with immigration services and benefits using a dedicated, toll free telephone help line at 1-877-CIS-4MIL (1-877-247-4645). USCIS, is committed to exhausting every effort to ensure that the application process for immigrant service members is convenient, quick and secure, Specialists are available to assist callers Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Central Standard Time. Callers will receive assistance with: tracking their application for naturalization (Form N-400); notifying USCIS of a new mailing address or duty station; checking the status of an application or petition; bringing a spouse, fiance or adopted child to the United States; obtaining posthumous citizenship for a deceased member of the Armed Services; and submitting an application for expedited processing. What is expeditious naturalization?
Expeditious naturalization is available to individuals who are seeking to naturalize as the spouse of a U.S. citizen who is regularly stationed abroad. The eligibility requirements for this category of naturalization applicants are outlined in section 319(b) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) and section 319.2, Title 8, Code of Federal Regulations. 319b_FAQ.pdf
