Welcome to Fort Hood’s Army Community Service Relocation Readiness Program Unit Sponsorship Training on Line. We’re sure that this information will help you become a great sponsor. Upon completion of this lesson you will be familiar with the information necessary to sponsor Soldiers, civilians and Family members inprocessing or outprocessing from the Great Place.
Sponsorship is greeting—and helping—Soldiers, spouses and civilian employees who’ve been assigned to a new duty station. Sponsors provide new arrivals and their families with: personal contact and a positive first impression, reliable information - a real comfort to people on the move, and an inside look at life in the new community.
It is important because most people need and appreciate help when they move to a new location. Relocation can be stressful, emotionally, physically and mentally. A sponsor’s assistance can make all the difference in helping newcomers relax, become productive and “settle in” as quickly as possible.
Sponsorship is a team effort involving the entire unit and the command, as well as individual sponsors. So, YOU can be Fort Hood’s most valuable resource!!
