Ilka Semmler is a German beach volleyball player who began playing with teammate Kathrin Wachter in 2008. The pair won the bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics and a silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Ilka began playing volleyball when she was seven years old and played beach volleyball for over a decade. She won her first World Tour event at just 16, and her career has been on an upward trajectory ever since.

11. Zara Dampney
Zara Dampney is a Welsh volleyball player and model who is in her second year in the women’s team, joining the squad in 2013. She has played beach volleyball for just over ten years and has won numerous tournaments, including 2016’s 2016 European Championships. Her partner in that event was Jade Jones, whom she also partnered with at the London Olympics. Dampney has also received individual honors, such as being named England’s Best Receiver and Best Server at the Women’s Beach Volleyball World Championships in 2014, 2015, and 2016.

Maria Clara Salgado Rufino is a Brazilian beach volleyball player in her fourth year on the national team. She won silver at the 2016 Rio Olympics, along with partner Gabriela Riga.
