David Robert Jones was born in London, England on January 8th, 1947. He is an English singer-songwriter and actor. At the age of 15, Bowie started his first band, the Konrads, in 1962. The Konrads, who performed guitar-based rock and roll at local youth events and weddings, typically had a line-up of four to eight people, with Underwood being one of them.
