Aiko Koyama is the author and illustrator of the Japanese manga series Kiyo in Kyoto: From the Maiko House. The manga follows about Kiyo and Sumire, childhood friends from Aomori Prefecture who move to Kyoto to become maiko. Due to her talent and devotion, Sumire succeeds. Junpei Inuzuka and Katsumi Enami collaborated on the Japanese light novel series Restaurant to Another World. The Western Restaurant Nekoya is an eatery with several Japanese adaptations of Western foods that is hidden away in a quiet Tokyo retail area. It is open throughout regular business hours but closed on holidays and on weekends. The working class of the city makes up the majority of its customary audience. However, it also secretly operates on Saturdays, when it opens doors to a different dimension where elves, dragons, beastmen, and other fantastical creatures live. Katayama is the creator of the Japanese comic series Dagashi Kashi. Nine generations of the Shikada family have operated the rural store Shikada Dagashi, which sells inexpensive candies and snacks.
