In Seraph of the End, after a mysterious virus appeared and killed everyone over 13, vampires rebelled and made the rest their slaves. Among the survivors of slavery were two orphaned boys, Yuuichirou and Mikaela Hyakuya. Servamp tells the story that after picking up a stray cat on his way home from school, 15-year-old Mahiru Shirota named it Kuro and took good care of the cat. Kizumonogatari is a prequel to the first season of the Bakemonogatari anime series. Strike The Blood is about a vampire who can summon magical beasts named Akatsuki Kojou. In Black Blood Brothers, ten years have passed since the holy grail war in Hong Kong. In Bloodivores, a new illness called insomnia plagued the populace in the 20th century. The victims stayed awake for a week after becoming sleep-deprived. They all began to search for a solution to the problem, and they created a drug called Lullaby that only made things worse by transforming the user into a vampire.
