Born on May 3, 1975, Christina Renée Hendricks is an American actress, producer, and former Model. Throughout her lengthy acting career, she has been nominated for numerous awards and accolades, including six Primetime Emmy Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and two Critics’ Choice Awards for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. In the Mad Men TV series, she has achieved widespread fame. In a 2010 poll of female readers, she was named “the sexiest lady in the world” by Esquire. To top it all off, she was crowned “America’s Most Beautiful Woman.”
Hendricks was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, to an American mother and an English father. She spent her childhood in Portland, Oregon, and Twin Falls, Idaho, where she got involved with the theater community. After finishing high school in Virginia, she moved to New York to pursue a modeling career by entering a Seventeen cover contest. For more than ten years, she modeled all around the world before making the switch to acting.
