1. Rapunzel-inspired dookie braid style
The first style, Rapunzel-inspired dookie braid style, can be done with a strip of hair on each side, or for those who have a very thick head of hair, you can use a section of hair. In both cases, the key is to split the teams into different sections to braid them differently to avoid crossing as you go along.

2. Short dookie box braid style
The dookie box braid style is a different take on the Dutch braid that has been done in many movies. It’s perfect for those who want to avoid bobby pins and the like because it is easier to pull the hair through itself. It somehow takes time to make a box braid, so find out in this tutorial.

4. Half-up, half-down braids
Combining this style and the half-up, half-down braid is one of my personal favorites. I love how it looks like someone pulled their hair back into a bun, but what’s cool about this style is that one person can do their side while another person does their other side so that they are both very short when it’s all said and done. Start with your hairs in two sections, then pull the two strands together into an overhand knot.

5. Two-tone braids
The first step is to pull one section on top of the other in an overhand for this style. Then, bring the end underneath itself and tuck it into its strands. Then repeat with another section for a different two-tone look.

6. High ponytail, dookie braids
The final option is to do your hair up into a giant ponytail and then pull apart a section of your hair and work them back so that they begin to form the braid.

7. Dookie Braided bun
One of the dookie braids here is one that you can wear as a bun. Start by creating a ponytail, then pull small sections of hair outward and away from the main point. It’s not as complicated as it looks!

8. Triangle parting + dookie braids
Here is another one of those fantastic styles where you can do two braids at once. Start with a parting by pulling your ponytail to the side, then going under the rest of your hair and grabbing the hair in front of it. Then, pull each section to either side and braid it over itself.

9. Slanted parting
For this technique, you will want to use a smaller section of hair on each side to be slightly slanted in the front. Start by making a section in the back and tucking it under like most other styles. Then take your two teams and wrap them over one another.

10. Bob Dookie Braids

11. Ribbon braids
Ribbon dookie braids are a great way to add a pearl or other ornament to your hair. It’s just like a regular braid, except you’ll have some strands leftover. Once you start, tuck those under themselves and then keep the rest going to form the braid.

12. Sleek braids
Sleek braid is an effortless style. Start by brushing your hair to distribute the oils. Next, take a small section from the front and back, and with your fingers, comb them in each direction. Take another section of hair from the front and back, again brushing both sides out.
From about chin level down to mid-forearm length, run the comb through this section of hair in a nice thick line that completely covers both sides of your head (you can also do it downwards).

13. Side Parted Braids
Cute and easy. The first section of hair is loose and messy, and then you brush it out. Please do the same with your second section of hair, making sure it’s long enough to cover your shoulder blades.
Brush out the first two sections of hair, then comb them back, so they’re all nice and straight. The third section can be as curly as you want, but brush it out to make it nice and straight, or part it into two pieces so you can braid tightly together. Learn how to make a side parted braids here
